I worked as a Technical Engineer in my last role, where I combined my work activities with marketing. It meant that I could use my technical skills and indulge my enthusiasm for marketing. In my role as a Marketing and Communications Assistant at Spectades, I’m up for the challenge of applying my knowledge and enthusiasm.

For me, good relationships in my working life and private life are especially important. That’s why I like meeting up for food and drinks in my free time with my friends and family.

I first got in contact with the IT world during my studies in Marketing and Sales. That’s how I started out in IT sales, but I soon realised that consultancy suits me better. Helping people is my passion. As a consultant at Spectades, I can put this passion to use with my listening and speaking skills. I will look for an appropriate solution together with the customer with great enthusiasm. People describe me as a sociable and outspoken person. In my free time I like to play football and I enjoy going to parties every once in a while.

I carry out my role as consultant with a good dose of positivity and ambition. In this I endeavour to fully grasp the client’s wishes by asking the right questions in order to then interpret this into an appropriate solution that meets the actual need.

Through my experience with client interaction in combination with the skills to translate functional needs into technical solutions, I leave no stone unturned.

I have been interested in IT ever since my youth in the game console era. The development and constant changes in technology have been exciting and challenging, even a bit frustrating at times. When I begin a project I’m not one to just plunge right in: first I observe and try to imagine the best solution. Then I am able to start work very confidently and dive in deep, up to the moment I can proudly say that a project is finished to perfection. This is apparent in my musical interest as well as in my work: I strive to be the best I can be.

Heart and soul, I am an IT professional from the old school. I don’t really feel like a “nerd”, but some might just say that about me.
I am most at home with a tough technical challenge and enjoy it whenever we come up with something good that the client will be happy with. Jan Doorduin and I started Spectades in order to set up a great company where we could provide as complete as possible support for our clients. Every day I strive to share my knowledge and experience with everyone and to motivate my colleagues to do the same to as great an extent as possible so that all of us are successful together.

Jorine Vernet

I am a happy busy bee in our team. In my work as Head of Administration I can be called on for a wide variety of tasks, which I enjoy a great deal. In addition to my responsibility for all administrative processes, I also deal with the other office work to relieve the management team, and I just never give up. I am also quite curious; I like to keep up with everything that is going on in our company. That helps keep my work interesting and innovativ.

At Spectades my experience and resourcefulness as project manager, fulfilment of expectations in terms of unique client operational processes and software performance come together.
Where many others would stop, I continue grappling with the challenge to make a success of each project, whether it’s business or personal.
Interacting with and coaching multicultural project teams comprised of our own professional colleagues and clients’ employees brings an additional, enjoyable dimension to my work.
This active engagement is also reflected in my personal life, as I enjoy travelling and many activities with my family.

Rowan Doorduin

My educational background is in Social and Pedagogical Care (SPH). I very much enjoyed working in social care, but then I was ready for a new challenge. That experience taught me that I enjoy working with people and that I am able to think in a solution-oriented manner. I hope these skills help me find my way in the Spectades sales team. My challenge now is to interpret the client’s wishes, and because I know the product so well, I believe I will definitely succeed in doing so.

I am known as good-humoured but serious, a person with broad knowledge who can easily identify with the client’s issues and think in terms of integrated solutions.
My experience and collaboration with government, multinationals as well as small and medium-sized enterprises allows me to quickly form a good idea of what the client expects, and I work closely with them to make this happen.
I am always open to assisting others and like working in a team, so I cannot wait to take on the next challenge with my colleagues.

Jan Doorduin

Enterprise is my passion; I have always had an affinity for it. The opportunity and the resources came together at the beginning of 2010, first as an independent contractor and then with the creation of Spectades B.V.
The name Spectades originated from the idea that the company name should be linked to the region, and in Brielle the first thing that comes to mind is the Dutch rhyme “Op 1 april / Verloor Alva zijn Bril” or On April first, Alva lost his glasses. (Editor’s note: “Bril” translates as glasses, or spectacles, a pun on the name of the town of Brielle, which the Dutch captured from the Spanish at the beginning of the secession of the Northern Provinces from the Spanish empire.)
Alva did in fact lose the renowned battle to the Watergeuzen (Sea Beggars) on April first 1572, and in any event the Duke of Alva’s glasses were “Spectacles” and thus “Spectades” was born.

I wouldn’t want to be involved in anything other than enterprise now.
We welcome a new colleague or an old acquaintance regularly. The door is open: we work hard, but in the Spectades family we also know how to celebrate.

I am known for my reliability and as someone who has a sense of humour and is always sympathetic to the interests of the people with whom I work. My experience with companies in the industry, food and government sectors and my interest in their businesses enable me to develop solutions for the challenges that our clients face. I believe in building long-term relationships and in teamwork with clients and colleagues when developing solutions. I consider openness, trust and mutual respect to be the conditions for success. In my free time, I enjoy barbecues, travelling and sailing. I also actively support good causes through the Rotary Club.

Jeroen Rietveld

Goal-oriented approach, confidence in the result and finish what you start. These are the solid principles and guidelines with which I begin challenging projects for clients and for myself. I follow the latest developments in IOT, machine learning and automation of same. For me the ideal system is simple, with no unnecessary additions and modifications, so the system remains reliable and easy to understand. In the projects I gladly involve the appropriate people that I can quickly connect with. The other reason I chose this career is that I can also work well with people in multiple areas within the field.

My strengths lie in the analytical area; by combining my analytical abilities with client focus I can always devise a suitable solution. Sebastian van Gils

As a child I was always fascinated by technology: seeing how something works, figuring out processes and then building and, if possible, improving it myself.  I can also use those challenges in my work as a consultant. I find it very special to be able to take a look behind the scenes at different companies: from water authority to food producer, and from the waste industry to chemical giants. What I like most is to maximise the EAM package with the client and colleagues, to come up with a solution that is most suitable for the client. The more complex the issue, the greater the challenge. That frequently means extra effort, but for a good result I’m very happy to do that.

I enjoy creating a bridge between business and IT. As a consultant, I’m at the cutting edge of the maintenance processes on the client’s premises and the technical solution. To get these to link up to each other properly, I’m constantly searching in my role for the issue behind the issue and I go deeply into complex business processes. I achieve this by working together with my colleagues and taking a customer-centred approach so that users can make the best possible use of our system. This way of working and this aim enable me to further assist the customer. This is what gives me a real buzz every day. In my free time I like to watch sport and my biggest hobby is drinking and brewing special beer.

I like analysing and optimising business processes, in combination with the use of information systems. With my experience in logistics, project management and system implementations, I take care of various projects at Spectades. Working in multidisciplinary teams gives me energy and a solution can be found for every challenge. I spend my spare time in the great outdoors or on my racing bike.

After many years of working in the E-commerce world, I wanted to keep developing in an area where I felt the most comfortable, namely software. I found Cloud solutions particularly appealing. The way I see Business Development is that it contributes directly to the growth of the business. It’s not just about working with clients, but also creating strategic partnerships. That’s why as a Business Developer I focus on the market and the client. For me, the starting point for growing together is responding to the requirements and wishes of new and existing clients.

During my mechanical engineering studies I was first introduced to IT. After several years working in installation engineering I decided to make the switch to a new technical challenge within IT.

I like to be a link between the customer and the products where solving a technical issue inspires me. Delivering quality work is very important to me, which I do by maintaining good customer contacts.

In my spare time I like to play sports and spend a lot of time with family and friends.

Marc van Ingen

From the beginning of my career I have been actively working within the industry. I started within technical sales and in later stages I held various managerial positions where the design of ICT also became part of my work. In addition to my commercial technical education, I also completed a 4-year (technical) business administration course.

Because of these experiences and backgrounds, within Spectades I have the ability to understand the needs of the customer well and convert them into good ICT solutions. Whereby I do not stop until a good functional solution is offered.

In my spare time I am interested in car and motor sports and can be found on my motorcycle on a regular basis. I am a socially driven person who also enjoys life by going out for the day or on vacation with my family to sunny vacation resorts.

Patrick Tjin-A-Lim

Over the past decades, I have gained experience in many facets of Information Technology in various companies. Having held multiple positions in Services, Contract Management, Software engineering and Management, I have returned to Asset Management.

I am multi-deployable and can relate well to the needs and solutions for our clients. My strength lies in working with multidisciplinary teams to achieve business and IT goals within time and budget.

On a personal level, I am regularly involved in sports with my family. This gives me energy which fits well in my work-life balance.
